This online edition of The Last Forest curriculum guide is ready for you to use in your classroom. We hope that these radio shows, stories, and accompanying materials entertain, educate, and inspire your students as you introduce them to an important period in West Virginia History.

Welcome to The Last Forest
We are delighted to be able to make The Last Forest: Tales of the Allegheny Woods available to you and your students. In addition to providing creative new ways to teach the traditional Three R’s and other subjects, the curriculum guide is designed to provide teachers of grades 6 through 10 with the tools necessary to acquaint their students with an important piece of Appalachian literature - one that contains valuable lessons on environmental stewardship and the preservation of our communities and heritage.
